OAS is giving out warrants to current shareholders which is to like a right to buy or sell a stock at a strike price. the shares you own now are NOT worthless because its easier for OAS to convince you to buy their new stock at a discount rather then full price. Or for those saavy investors you can sell warrants too. For those who do not trade options. this is your very basic intro to one and how you make money. OAS will issue warrants at a strike price . For example, let say they issue a warrant strike price at 10$ but then OAS( new ticker symbol) stocks go up to 20$ you decide you want to excercise your right to buy at 10$ which now means you made 100%.
