At Webull, we take privacy and security seriously. Webull Technologies PTE. LTD and its subsidiaries and affiliated companies (collectively, “we,” “our,” or “us”) are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by Webull and its affiliates such as Webull mobile device applications, Webull websites and etc. By accessing or using our services, systems, websites, and apps (the “Services”), you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy, and Practices, and our Terms of Service. Some Services may have additional privacy guidance, and in addition to this Privacy Policy, we will also follow such additional privacy guidance to protect your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes how and when we collect, use, and share your information across our websites, SMS, APIs, email notifications, applications, buttons, and our other covered services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”), and from our partners and other third parties. When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, storage, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes any information you choose to provide that is deemed sensitive under applicable law. This Policy is a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and us.

When this policy mentions “we” or “us,” it refers to the controller of your information under this policy. Irrespective of which country you live in, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States, and any other country where we operate. In some of these countries, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those in the country where you live.

1.How we collect and use your personal information

When you use our products and/or services, your personal information may be collected and used in the following scenarios:

(1)Information that you provide when you create an account.

When you choose to create a Webull account with your email address or mobile phone number, we will collect this kind of contact information. We may send emails, text messages, or push notifications to you. You may follow the relevant notice to unsubscribe related services.

When you register Webull with your existing Google account, Facebook account or other third-party accounts, we will obtain your personal information from the third party, such as your images, your nickname or username.

If you do not have a Webull account or use Webull without login, you will not be regarded as a client of Webull. There will be no business relationship between you and Webull when you use Webull without login.

You can also add or link your mobile phone numbers, email addresses, third-party accounts with your existing Webull account. We will collect such additional information so you can log in Webull with them too.

(2)When you use our Services, we may automatically collect and store your usage information of Webull products and services. This kind of usage information includes but not limited to how you access our services, your actions on the Services, including your interactions with others on the Services, photos or media you upload to the Services, and other content you provide (“Usage Information”).

(3)We’ll only access your device camera and photo album with your permission when you want to upload photos on Webull help center, update your account profile image, or post photos in Webull Community.

(4)We’ll only access your device microphone with your permission when you want to search stocks or place a trade with voice command.

(5)We will only access or device calendar with your permission when you want to add alerts or economic data to your calendars.

(6)Due to anti-money laundering obligations and in accordance with laws and regulations

When you apply for opening a trading account, you may be asked to provide your identity information,including name, nationality,country of legal residence, ID number, email address, resident address, marital status, date of birth etc.

2.How we use cookies and similar technologies

For your cookies in web services, you can manage Cookies in the content settings as your preference, most browsers give you the ability to manage Cookie features. At the same time, you can enable “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) feature so that you will not be tracked by cookies.

3.How we share, transfer and publicly disclose your information

We do not disclose your private personal information except in the limited circumstances described here.

Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services. For example, we use a variety of third-party services to help us understand and improve the use of our Services, such as Google Analytics. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions. We share your payment information, including your credit or debit card number, card expiration date, CVV code, and billing address with payment services providers to process payments; prevent, detect and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities; facilitate dispute resolution such as chargebacks or refunds; and for other purposes associated with the acceptance of credit or debit cards.

Law and Harm: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Privacy Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect our or our users’ rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.

Business Transfers and Affiliates: In the event that we are involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose information about you to our corporate affiliates in order to help provide, understand, and improve our Services and our affiliates’ services.

Public Information: We may share or disclose your public information, such as your public user profile information, public Comments.

4.How we protect your Information

We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to protect your personal information. We take all reasonable security measures to protect your information against loss, improper use, unauthorized access or disclosure. We will work within the reasonable security standards and use a variety of security measures to protect the security of information. We have established a specialized management, process and organization system to ensure information security. For example, we strictly restrict the employees who can access information, requiring them to provide unique authentications to access information and comply with their confidentiality obligations and conduct audits.

We will establish an emergency response plan. If there is a security breach involving the personal information of our users, we will activate the emergency response plan to prevent the expansion of such security incident and take appropriate measures to inform you, including in the form of push notifications, public announcements, etc.

5.Notice to California Residents

If you are a California resident, please see below details about the personal information we collect about California residents and the rights afforded to them under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

Subject to certain limitations and exceptions, the CCPA provides California residents the following right:

  • The ability to request a covered business disclose the detailed personal information we collect;
  • The opt-out of the sale of personal information, if applicable. We do not sell personal information;
  • The option to control and delete personal information. Webull also gives everyone the option to delete cookies from visits to our products and websites. To do so, please contact our customer services at cs@webull.com.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising rights they have under CCPA.

In accordance with California law, we will not share information we collect about you with nonaffiliates, except as allowed by law. For example, we may share information with your consent or to service your accounts. Among our affiliates, we will limit information sharing to the extent required by California law.

For exercising CCPA specific rights, please contact our customer services at cs@webull.com. We may verify the request by asking you to provide information that matches information we have on file about you. You can also designate an authorized agent to exercise these rights on your behalf, but we will require proof that the person is authorized to act on your behalf and may also still ask you to verify your identity with us directly.

6.Accessing and Modifying Your Personal Information

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access, correct, delete, or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account. You can download certain account information, including your Portfolios.

You can also permanently delete your Webull account. When your accounts have been deactivated, your account, including your name, username, and public profile, is not viewable on Webull App. For up to 30 days after deactivation it is still possible to restore your account if it was accidentally or wrongfully deactivated. Absent a separate arrangement between you and us to extend your deactivation period, after 30 days, we begin the process of deleting your account from our systems, which can take up to a week.

Keep in mind that search engines and other third parties may still retain copies of your public information, such as your posts and comments in Webull Community, even after you have deleted the information from the Webull Services or deactivated your account.

7.How we protect minors’ information

The Services are not directed to children, we do not intentionally collect information from children, and we request that children not provide any personal information to us. If you have any concerns about your child's privacy, please contact us at cs@webull.com. We will take steps to delete the information as soon as possible should we learn that we have unintentionally collected personal information from your child without your consent.

8.How does your information move globally

Since our products and services are available throughout the world, after obtaining your authorization and consent, your personal information may be transferred to the country or region where you use our product and services, and you will be deemed to accept their jurisdiction over your information.

Such jurisdictions may have different data protection laws, and certain jurisdictions offer less protection than others. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information is adequately and equally protected. For example, we will request your consent for cross-border transfer of personal information or implement security measures such as data de-identification before cross-border data transfer.

9.How is this Policy updated

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information.If we make any change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will update the policy on Webull website without a separate notification sent to you. Please pay attention to the most updated version of Webull Privacy Policy on Webull’s website, at webull.com. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.

All services of Webull are subject to this Privacy Policy, however, some services have their own specific privacy guidance/statement. Some specific privacy guidance/statement describe how we process your information in the service more specifically. If this Privacy Policy is inconsistent with the privacy guidance/statement of a particular service, the privacy policy of that particular service shall prevail.
