Webull provides you with immediate access to a portion of funds deposited via ACH. Instant Buying Power lets you start trading before your funds are fully settled so that you don’t miss a market opportunity.
What is Instant Buying Power?
Instant buying power is provided while your ACH deposit is in transit so you can trade before the deposit settles, which takes 4 business days. Before your deposit is fully settled, we give you instant buying power so you can start trading right away. You can trade stocks and ETFs with instant buying power. However, you cannot use instant buying power to trade options.
When Will I Receive Instant Buying Power?
The time you will receive related instant buying power varies depending on the time you submit your deposit request:
- If you initiate an ACH transfer before 9:30 am EST on a business day, you will receive the instant buying power for that deposit during business hours.
- If you initiate an ACH transfer during business hours (9:30 am EST to 4:00 pm), you will receive instant buying power in seconds.
- If you initiate an ACH transfer after 4:00 pm on a business day, you will receive the instant buying power on the next business day.
- If you initiate an ACH transfer on weekends or holidays, you will receive the instant buying power on the next business day.
Instant Buying Power Amount
The amount of instant buying power you can receive for a deposit is based on multiple factors, including your account type, cash balance, amount of incoming funds, market value of your positions, personal credit, and transaction history. In general:
- If your deposit amount is less than $1,000, you will receive the full amount as your instant buying power.
- If your deposit amount is more than $1,000, you can receive $1,000 instant buying power.
- If you have several pending deposits during the same period, the amount of instant buying power will be calculated based on the aggregated amount of incoming funds.
Webull reserves the right to provide greater or lesser instant buying power for certain clients and to change or modify the terms of instant buying power at our own discretion.
