I have had a lot of people asking me questions about options who have never tried them because between myself and the other traders who alert them here is always at least one triple digit returner every single day and some fomo seems to be setting in because we have some damn good traders here ? PLEASE know that options are extremely expensive to learn and everyone must pay the options tuition expense, there is no escaping it. Unlike stocks when you can buy/sell 1 share for a few bucks, options can be worthless in a matter of seconds costing hundreds of dollars. I tell everyone in my 1v1s that is trying to learn them to physically write down your trade on paper as you would do it before you play with real money as I don’t think you can paper trade options (I think). They are extremely complicated and even though we may seem to make them look easy...trust me they are not lol. When sizing a position you should go 5-7% of your portfolio in each trade. When playing “blue chips” or high market cap stocks that do present a long term trend I like to draw horizontal and angled lines, to create apex points in the trends that will be optimal entry/exit points. Now these can also be used for scalping/swinging shares as well as the strategy is the same, just might not get as big of a return on shares. If you look at TDOC around 8/3 and PFE last week you see a long term trend line and a horizontal line intersect as support, and the stock exploded shortly after. Doing this can help you predict the path a stock is going to follow in accordance to using the macd on the daily.
